Press Release Summary: High School Volleyball Players Get Their Chance To Show Off in front of College Recruiters!
Press Release Body: United States of America (Press Release) September 26, 2007 -- Grand Rapids, MI, September 25, 2007 - The Verius Sports High School Volleyball Showcase, will be held January 26, 2008 at The Courthouse Athletic Center in Byron Center, open to all volleyball players Classes of 2008-2011. Registration and warm-up will begin at 9:00 a.m., official start at 10:00 a.m., with drill conclusion between 2:00 p.m. & 4:00 p.m., depending on the number of athletes attending.
College volleyball recruiters from schools including, Ohio State, Michigan State, Central Michigan, University of Illinois-Chicago, and more will be present to observe the drills and tests. This will give local volleyball players exposure to highly competitive college volleyball programs. In addition, interested universities unable to send recruiters will receive the test scores upon completion of the showcase.
Athletes will be assessed on athletic ability by performing tests including vertical jump, broad jump, agility speed, serve speed, as well as practical volleyball drills. This combine is a perfect opportunity to get noticed and begin the college recruitment process; all athletes considering playing college volleyball are highly encouraged to attend.
